The other night my boyfriend & I had kind of a sweet tooth, but we didn’t want to spend a lot of time cooking dinner (we wanted food NOW) so we decided on protein pancakes. Every time I make protein pancakes the recipe is always different based on what I have at home. Sometimes they’re banana, sometimes I use vanilla protein powder, sometimes chocolate, sometimes just eggs…However, this time they were exceptionally delicious & required minimal ingredients (which I normally have at home) so I had to blog this recipe #1 to share it with all of YOU and #2 so I don’t ever forget this recipe. This is definitely a repeat!
You only need 5 ingredients for these protein pancakes & I am sure a lot of you already have everything at home.
Ingredients:
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 medium ripe banana
1/2 cup oats
5 egg whites
2 TBSP raw cacao powder
Cinnamon to taste
Directions: Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Cook on medium heat (I greased my pan with a bit of coconut oil) for 2-3 minutes on each side.
This should make 6 pancakes!!
1 protein pancake

2g fat
8g protein
6g carbohydrate
1g sugar
That’s for the pancake alone…but (my sweet tooth was talkin’) I decided to add 1 TBSP of raw almond butter, some fresh berries, unsweetened coconut flakes, raw honey & more cinnamon on top! Like seriously, I don’t even know if it gets any better than this!
